Trevor Mathews New ECBaT Chairperson.
July was the AGM for Eudunda Community Business and Tourism Committee (ECBAT) and a changing of the guard.
Cirsten Leditschke left the committee after serving for a number of years as the chairperson. This role has now been taken over by Trevor Mathews. Richard Mosey, new to the committee and Peter Herriman returning after a break. are two new faces onto the committee taking over from Alison Schutz & Carolyn Krause, who we thank for their time with us.
In her report, Cirsten highlighted the activities of ECBaT during the last 12 months. Some projects, such as the top carpark & the main street parking, are still ongoing but the Eudunda Caravan Park is now open for business and has had a constant stream of “residents”. Several tradies have settled in for a period as they do work around the district. A RV dump site is still to be installed in the park.
With the opening of the Eudunda Community Hub the same morning as our meeting, the report of good attendance and interest was most welcome news.
The committee welcomed the new Regional Council of Goyder CEO, David Stevenson to the meeting and he shared a little of his life and history prior to being employed by the Council. David is keen to support community groups and ECBaT looks forward to a close working relationship with him and his staff.
ECBaT is supporting a Business Networking Evening to be held on Monday 14th August. This evening has been arranged by Regional Development Australia Yorke & Mid North and is open to all businesses in the district and will give an overview of the Regional Development Board and its purposes and how it can assist businesses. There will also be a portion of the evening given to Social Media and Marketing.
