Eudunda Caravan Park 7 of 8 powered sites (plus 5 free campers)

This is an update report on the progress being achieved on the project to purchase two 2 bedroom cabins for additional accommodation for the Eudunda Caravan Park.

The Eudunda Caravan Park currently has 8 powered sites managed by Steve & Lee Wegener and over the last year the occupancy and income generated by these sites has increased substantially. There are constant enquiries for cabin accommodation.

Eudunda Community Business & Tourism Inc and the Eudunda Caravan Park Committee are very committed to purchase cabins to supplement the powered sites & to provide additional and alternative accommodation in Eudunda for the steadily rising number of tourists visiting the town particularly since the completion of the Eudunda Silo Art project in September 2021. Over the last 12 months, ECBaT & the Caravan Park Committee have been steadily working behind the scenes to realise this vision for Eudunda.

Applications for grant funding have been made to the following funds:

  • Building Better Regions Fund Round 5 (Federal Government)

  • Regional Growth Fund (State Government)

Unfortunately, the applications were not successful due to the high level of applications for both types of grants. A further application is currently being prepared for Round 6 of the Building Better Regions Fund & ECBaT is hopeful that this grant application will be successful.

In the meantime, ECBaT are working with the Regional Council of Goyder to ensure that the land ownership, zoning & building development approvals of the cabins are consistent with Council & other requirements.
