28th September 2025

Eudunda Community Business & Tourism Committee (ECBaT) are excited to announce that Eudunda resident, Cullen Habel has been appointed as the new Eudunda Caravan Park Manager as from 1 September 2025.

Here is an excerpt of his background & experience from Cullen’s resume.
“Three years ago, I moved to Eudunda from Adelaide where I worked in universities, sales & hospitality. I also been involved in a number of community service activities & board memberships. I have skills in gardening, small maintenance tasks, hospitality, retail, computers & IT & marketing/promotion. I currently work part-time as a Nature Rehabilitation Coordinator/Groundskeeper in a Barossa Quarry & I love being in the country & outdoors.”

Cullen has settled into his role very well & has embraced the many tasks that he is required to complete. Cullen enjoys interacting with the caravan park customers, finding out where they are from & giving them information on the various tourist & services available in Eudunda.

Cullen reports via his Facebook posts that recent visitors have come from Perth, Moama, Taree, Mount Dandenong & Brisbane as well as many visitors from across South Australia.
The caravan park is hosting approximately 10 workers from Grandline Motion Pictures on the production of the movie “The Sundowner” who will be staying at the park for 2 separate weeks in early & mid-October 2025 filming around Eudunda.

ECBaT thanks the previous managers, Steve & Lee Wegener for their loyal commitment & management in operating the caravan park for over 10 years since it opened in 2015.

There are plans to expand the caravan park with the addition of several cabins which will involve some civil construction works & the erection of fencing around the rear of the existing site. Security cameras have already been installed at the caravan park to assist in monitoring the activity at the park on a 24/7 basis.

ECBaT encourages all Eudunda & District residents to visit our caravan park, say hello to Cullen if he is around & promote the caravan park to friends & visitors as a place to stay.
The caravan park is now promoted in the SA Caravan & Camping Guide & at the event in Wayville in February each year as well as recently being added to the SA Parks website.
You can find the Eudunda Caravan Park on Facebook where Cullen is now posted various news, as well as the Eudunda Caravan Park website. https://caravanpark.eudunda.au/

The Movie Crew had to make way for expectant lap wing plovers nesting in the camping area and they were happy to oblige. Eudunda Caravan Park Manager, Cullen took special care to demarcate the spot so the eggs were safe. Well done to all, keeping our beautiful native birds safe as we all share the space.
