The Regional Council of Goyder invited local businesses their Series Two Business Breakfast titled “Make it Happen!” on Friday 24th November 2017.
With dignitaries Rowan Ramsay MP (Federal Member for Grey), Dan van Holst Pellekaan MP (Member for Stuart), David Stevenson (CEO, Regional Council of Goyder), Jane Kellock (Deputy Mayor, Regional Council of Goyder), all Ward Councillors attending as well as representatives from the Regional Development Australia – Yorke & Mid North and Council Staff all in attendance, everyone had a great opportunity to network.
As well as having a free breakfast those attending were briefed on the latest news by our Regional Council of Goyder, CEO, David Stevenson.
Guest Speaker for the morning , Geoff Schell, Principal, Ray White Clare Valley gave us an insight into the state of real estate at the moment.
The topic is most relevant at the moment as the Eudunda Community, Business and Tourism Committee (ECBAT) have identified that one of its focus areas needs to be on development and retaining services. With interaction from some business members discussion occurred as to some of the ‘hurdles’ facing local development and investment in the area and Geoff was keen to see how they might be addressed.
To finish off the breakfast Jane Kellock (Deputy Mayor, Regional Council of Goyder) spoke,
“Council and Staff are committed to this community and united in our intent to enable the growth, the change, opportunity throughout the region”.
The day was a busy one, we didn’t even get time for any formal photos at the breakfast as straight after some raced off to thier respective businesses to open up for the day, and everyone else went to the Eudunda Caravan Park to attend the Official Opening there!
