Eudunda Gardens Volunteers

Our valued Volunteer Gardners look after the award winning Eudunda Centenary Gardens and the War Memorial Gardens

In 2025 we had many of our rather aged gardners retire, and they deserved to after many years of dedication to the job.

Garden Volunteers Celebrated as many retire
Back L-R: Bill Gebhardt (Mayor – Regional Council of Goyder, Greg Obst, Greg Post, Scott Gilbert,
Front L-R: Judy Partington (Eudunda Ward Councilor), Pam Dutschke (Garden Volunteer Leader), Bobbie Post, Neil Purdham. Missing is Sarah Binns.

Monday 24th November 2025 marked a significant time for the Eudunda Gardens and the Eudunda Gardens Volunteers, with many hanging up their pruning shears in retirement (and most likely now to spend some time in their own gardens).

In recognition our retiring volunteers were presented with a certificate and a very big thank you from Mayor Bill Gebheard of the Regional Council of Goyder, Judy Partington Eudunda Ward Councillor for the Regional Council of Goyder and Mel Zerner for the Eudunda Community, Business & Tourism Committee, of which the Eudunda Gardens Volunteers are a Sub Committee.

The gathering was a great opportunity for our newest Garden’s Volunteers Sarah Binns and Scott Gilbert to meet everyone.

As you will see in other articles, Sarah and Scott need help, so if you can spare a few hours a month, please call ECBAT’s new Chairperson, Mel Zerner on 0418852353.
