Do you know or have seen some inspiring person or a great event this year?

Each year the Regional Council of Goyder (RCOG) seeks nominations from the Goyder community for the following 4 categories in each of the 4 Council wards – Eudunda Ward & Robertstown Ward are the Southern end of the RCOG and each ward has its own awards.

Nominate them for the Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards. Four Categories:
(You can make a nomination in any or all categories)

  • Citizen of the Year Award
    Presented to someone in your community making an extraordinary contribution to the community
  • Young Citizen of the Year Award
    Presented to an emerging leader who is making a difference in the community
    For this award, the person must be an Australian citizen under 30 years of age on January 26, 2022.
  • Community Event of the Year Award
    Presented to a person or group who has stages the most outstanding event for their community
  • Active Citizenship (new award for 2022)
    Presented to a person or group delivering outstanding work on an event or project during the past calendar year.


Nominations for the Awards close on the 17th of November 2023.

Outstanding contribution and community service includes areas such as; education, health, fund-raising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and wellbeing of a community.
