Changes to Liquor Licencing – youSay – by May 3rd

As most people may be aware there are potential changes to the condition of licences issued to clubs, however there seems to have been little information relating to any potential changes to limited licence class.

As part of the reforms a new short term liquor licence will replace the existing limited licence class and this will commence in November 2019.

If a club is holding a class 3 event it is proposed that all staff involved in the sale or supply of liquor would be required to have undertaken RSA training prior to the event. The attached document shows the proposed new classes and changes to the classes.

Proposed classes for short term licences have been developed for consultation on the YourSay website until 3 May 2019.

The Member encourages you to make a submission if you think that the changes will directly affect your event.
