Renowned for finding new customers and innovation, Eudunda engineering firm Buschutz Engineering have found a market where there are hardly any people to admire their work, and they couldn’t be happier about it.
John Cuch, General Manager at Buschutz explained how they competed against a global market to secure an order for sending a significant number of “Best-Vessels ™ “ stainless steel IBC’s (Intermediate Bulk Containers) to Antarctica.
“The containers will be used to store Aviation fuel at various locations serving the network of White Desert Adventure, Antarctica sites. The premium aviation fuel that they will use in the IBC’s is being sponsor by Vitol Aviation. Both firms are based in the UK.
“Buschutz Engineering, founded in 1985 has been a major employer in the Mid North town of Eudunda with 20 employees, and works from two sites in the town.
“Plant one is dedicated full time to manufacturing Hay Press Plants (HPP). Plant two, the tank division, manufactures carbon and stainless steel tanks for the resource industry. This is where the “Best-Vessels ™ IBC’s are manufactured, under license.”
John said,
“Apart from being used in the resources sector the containers have also applications in the olive, wine, specialized oils, and chemical industries, and Buschutz has proudly exported the containers to Ireland, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. and now Antarctica. Happily we have progressively increased our IBC’s volume through exporting.
“We have also been happy to work with another South Australian company, ‘Now Global Logistics’ who will deliver the containers. It is a real ‘win/win’ situation for South Australian businesses.”
