Commonwealth Scholarship Program for Young Australians

The Commonwealth Scholarship Program for Young Australians opened on the 24th April and is now taking applications for eligible applicants aged between 15 – 24 years old or Ex ADF (transitioned within the last 2 years, no age restrictions) who will be enrolling to undertake a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma level.

Scholarship applicants for round 2 will not need to be enrolled prior to applying but in the process of enrolling with an approved Training Provider so information can be provided to potential scholar at the expression of interest phase now or in the transition phase from school into further education (Year 11 & 12 Students attending school are not eligible for the program).

Approved scholars will be provided financial assistance for materials and or equipment needed to complete studies and participate in either work placement as per course requirements, or a 20 business-day paid internship with a local business which is sourced by myself on behalf of the student and BUSY At Work.

Flexible study methods for students include in class room, Online and blended learning which in the current circumstances is advantageous to those who are upskilling for a new career or just starting in their journey into Vocational Education and Training.

The first lot of scholarship applications will be shortlisted and sent to the department for reviewing and approval on June 4th and outcomes of applications will be advised between the 18th and 25th June.
